In 2002 a young lady, Gemma Rice (now Gemma Sisia), from a sheep farm in Australia, opened a small school in Northern Tanzania with the help of her family, friends and local Rotary Club.

St Jude School is good because: 1) It teaches us about God and if you know the God you will not do bad things; 2) Borrowing books in the library is important because you will know more English; 3) Doing exams is important because if you are doing exams you will know more things; 4) I like computers because of games, exams and other things.
