Having been blessed with good health and two well adjusted children who have had a good start in life, we always intended to sponsor a child. We found that large organisations distanced themselves from the the people they were helping. Two years ago, old friends John and Kay from Manly, Australia visited us and told us all about Gemma. A year later, we spent time at The School of St. Jude and found the experience thought provoking, exciting, well organised and so worthwhile that we have a lovely sponsored child -- Beatrice Raphael.
